Down The Road
SUMMARY
The Players' entry to the Colorado Community Theater Coalition competition in Fort Morgan, Down The Road is the intense drama of a serial killer and the married couple who agree to write his biography. Dan and Iris Henniman are trying to treat killer and rapist Bill Reach like any of their other subjects. They fight to stay emotionally unattached while 'hyping the gore,' and to not react to Reach's sickening narratives. But eventually, they must question their book's place in a decadent culture obsessed with violence. Once Iris begins to speculate about Reach's motives, he becomes an inescapable and haunting presence in their lives. ADULT CONTENT. FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY.

Evergreen Players and Hiwan History Museum are teaming up to offer an immersive, interactive mystery event within the former log home of Dr. Neosha Josepha Williams Douglas, built between 1893 and 1918 located on Meadow Drive in Evergreen. The museum transforms into the 1920’s home of former crime boss Victor Moretti, and the small audience, as “guests” for Moretti’s speakeasy party assist Detective Gunn in solving the ensuing crime. This offers a unique theatrical experience where actors will engage directly with audience members who become active participants in solving the crime.
