Since 1966 Kathleen has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work and play with countless talented, caring, and funny folks in this community who love theater. When not busy with parenting or a career as pianist and music educator, she has acted, directed, built sets, and swept floors. Currently Kathleen serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors.

Aaron has been a supporter of the Evergreen Players for many years. His wife and two sons have performed in, volunteered and directed various performances at the Evergreen Players. Aaron joined the BOD in 2023 and brings a strong business background as well as a love and support of the arts.

Jennai Howe Bachus believes that the arts are one of the important ways for communities and individuals to express, create and share. She grew up in Evergreen and is so excited that her experience as an Organizational Consultant and her love of the arts have come together in what she calls “one of the most rewarding roles” she has been privileged to enjoy. Jennai has served on the boards and as an officer of multiple arts and education boards throughout Colorado. Although she is not a performer, she is always happy to be an audience member and an avid supporter of the arts. One of her favorite parts of the Players is Drama Camp which happens every July.

Ryan mostly roamed around before landing in Colorado in 2016. He attended The University of Texas at San Antonio where he earned a degree in Sports Management. After working in college athletics for 5 years Ryan transitioned careers and has been a data analyst ever since. You may have seen him onstage with the Players in The Old Man and the Old Moon or painting sets and hiding in the sound booth. When not at the theatre you can find Ryan analyzing data for The Nature Conservancy and hanging out with his wife, Katrina.

Tara Emch is an indispensable reason for the Evergreen Players success. She has served in many roles, most recently as our Executive Director. Currently she is a board member, historian.
Tara works for the Evergreen Chamber Of Commerce and is a board member and tireless volunteer for multiple organizations in our community,.
Tara is a former Vice President/Branch Manager at the Cherry Creek Colorado State Bank and Trust and she has more than 25 years of business experience in management and sales
When asked why Evergreen Players? Tara responded, "I went to see Hair one summer and a week later I was on the payroll. I loved everything about the organization. The people are great, the energy is so positive, and it is a wonderful way to bring our Evergreen community together. I knew I had to be part of it! And since I can't act, working behind the scenes was a perfect fit. I am thrilled to be part of the Evergreen Players family."

Leann Ritter

Leann Ritter grew up here in Evergreen and has always been very active in the theater community. She attended New York University where she majored in acting and spent eight years studying and working in theater and film in NYC before moving home to Colorado. From 2016 - 2021, Leann ran Evergreen Players' Summer Drama Camp program and also helped to run and develop the educational programs. You may have seen her onstage with the Players in The Old Man and the Old Moon or with her now husband, Eric Ritter, in The Explorers Club. When not onstage you can find Leann working in the exciting world of insurance with Michele Vanags State Farm and hanging out with her husband Eric and two kiddos, Tyler and James.

John and his wife Kathleen become a part of the Players family when they moved to Evergreen over 50 years ago. While they played many parts on stage together, it quickly became apparent that John's theater skills were strongest in other areas. Light and sound design, stage management and administrative duties make up the bulk of his activities with the Players. John has also served on the Board of Directors of both the national theater organization (AACT) and the state theater organization (CCTC). John passed away in January 2023 and is now and will always be missed. The Evergreen Players will always hold a seat on the board for John - the "Heart of the Players"
